Ice Fishing
Winter is just around the corner - time for snowmobiling and ice fishing. Ice fishing is a sport for the whole family. From our lodge and cozy cabins we load up and snowmobile out for an adventure on the ice. Equipped with the necessary tackle, ice shack and food for a barbeque on the lake our guides will set you up for a fun filled day on the ice.
The first thing we do before we take you to the lake is to make sure it is completely frozen over and thick enough to withstand the weight of our fishing guests. The next step is to begin drilling our holes because the noise of the drill can frighten the fish temporarily, the fish will have returned by the time we are ready to fish. We start drilling holes with an ice auger not far from shore and we drill a number of holes, enough for each person to jig and others to set tip ups. Once our holes are drilled and ice shacks are set, it's time to start fishing!
