Steamboat Lake Outfitters is a year-round, full-time professional hunting and outfitting organization, specializing in fully guided private land hunts, Zirkel wilderness hunts, or drop camps. In order to provide the best and most successful hunt possible, we personally interview each prospective client to answer any questions you may have. We can tailor a trip for your hunting pleasure.

SLO operates in Northwest Colorado, on private property, BLM Land and the National Forest. Mountain lion and trophy elk hunts take place in the Brown's Park area. Black bear hunts are based in unit #214 near Clark. Trophy deer hunters are taken into the Mt. Zirkel Wilderness Area. Game bird hunts are provided in the Clark area and on the eastern plains of Colorado.
SLO is a hard-working professional organization, whose officers take an active role as guides in your hunt. With a combined total of more than fifty years of outfitting experience, SLO provides professional guides and services for a memorable hunt and a true sportsman experience.

Hunting License
You will need to complete a Colorado Big Game application and send it in for hunting either the 1st or 4th rifle season. If you do not draw and we cannot get you a leftover tag, your deposit will be fully refundable. A bull tag for 2nd & 3rd rifle season does not require a draw license. This license can be purchased over the counter at SLO prior to the first day of hunting season.Application deadline is midnight April 1st. You may also apply on line with the Division of Wildlife www.wildlife.state.co.us. Because we are currently securing our private land hunting leases we would appreciate your deposit of 50% as soon as possible.
