Turkey Hunting

This is Turkey Heaven! Hundreds of birds and a lot of action. Even with the short season, we can still offer you some action packed turkey hunting this spring for both archery and shotgun. We offer hunting on nearly 5000 acres of private farm ground near North Platte, NE. Lyle Goslnel will give you every opportunity to harvest your turkey. Lyle grew up on this farm and knows every inch of this ground and the location of the turkeys. Hunter success rate in the past has been nearly 100%.

Our hunts include a guide, lodging and three meals per day for the duration of your stay. A 20% deposit is required to hold your reservation when you book the hunt. Our hunt includes one turkey and if you wish to get a second turkey there would be an extra fee of $250. A Nonresident Turkey Permit is $86.00 and you can buy it online.

A typical day of hunting starts out with a cup of coffee and donuts to wake up and then its off to our hunting ground. It's important that we are setting up on turkeys before daylight, our goal is to sneak our way into a blind without getting to get too close to a roost. We set out blinds within 100 - 150 yards if it's possible. We are trying to get as close as possible to the bird without scaring it off the roost. These ambush spots create many shot opportunities. After the morning hunt its back to camp for a brunch, a nap, and some competitive target shooting. Mid day hours are also a great time to glass from high ridge lines. After a snack we set up for our evening hunt sneaking into ambush spots to catch the turkeys heading back to social hangouts near the roosting area. When the sun goes down we pick up our harvested turkeys and head back to camp for an open fire, hot dinner, and some story telling.
